Eight Year Old League Only:
The MRYC Football Board is pleased to announced that 70 lbs. will be established as the baseline for determining backs and linemen. So only players weighing 70 lbs. or less are eligible to handle the football on offense.

Thanks to all who have registered to play with us this year. Over 500 players have registered, the largest in MRYC history!
The MRYC Board wishes to thank all of those that attended yesterday’s combine at Liberty Park. We hope that moving to Velocity Sports Performance when the weather deteriorated didn’t inconvenience you.
If your child was unable to attend yesterday’s combine or did not participate in the drills, we will still place them on a team! However, there are 2 requirements for participation in the League:
- Official Weight:
League rules require an official weight for ALL players. If you were unable to attend the combine, please bring your child to the MADISON PARKS & RECREATION Office at 1239 Hwy 51 in Madison (1/8 mile North of Hoy Road on the left) anytime today (8/23) between 1:00 pm and 7:15 pm for an official weight.
AN OFFICIAL WEIGHT IS ESSENTIAL FOR LEAGUE PARTICIPATION
- Birth Certificate:
League rules require a birth certificate be provided to the MRYC Board. If you haven’t submitted your child’s birth certificate, please email to titansportsmom@comcast.net or drop off at the Madison Park & Recreation office (address above). Please do NOT drop off at Velocity or at the Ridgeland Park & Recreation offices.

The coaches clinic will begin at 5:30pm on 8/23/2010 at the Madison Parks and Recreation office.

Attention - 8 Year-Old League
The published weight restrictions for the 8 year-old league will be adjusted by the MRYC Board based on the average weight of all 8 year-olds once registration is closed.

Tackle Football League will be divided by age groups:
(All participants must provide us with a copy of their birth certificate for our records)
8 year olds
9 & 10 year olds
11 & 12 year olds

No refunds after the last day of registration – August 21, 2010

- To be eligible for the draft, players must participate in the combine
- 1:30pm - 4:00pm at Liberty Park
- All prospective coaches are requested to attend and assist with the combine (Send e-mail to titansportsmom@comcast.net with questions)
- Evaluations will consist of the player's Nike SPARQ score and prospective coaches’ evaluations

- All prospective coaches (head coach and assistants) should attend this meeting
- Number of coaches selected will be based on the number of teams determined by number of players
- Prospective coaches who assist with the combine on August 22 will be given special consideration during evaluations
- At the request of many coaches from last year, previous year coaches will be available to discuss their experiences (what worked and didn't work with their teams)

- All coaches will be notified of their selection following the coaches meeting
- Coaches will be provided with data from the combine for review prior to the draft
- At least one coach and/or an assistant must be present for the draft
