IMPORTANT DATES & RESPONSIBILITY OF MRYC COACHING STAFF

Coach's Clinic & selection:

Sunday, August 22nd 2:00pm
All Head coaches will be notified no later than 12:00pm, Monday, August 23rd of their selection. Everyone the indicated they would like to be an assistant coach and submits a background check form - form in coaching packet(& passes background check) no later than 12:00pm - Wednesday, August 25th will receive an assistant shirt and be certified by the league.

Evaluations:

Tuesday, August 23rd Liberty Park - front soccer fields 6:00pm - 9:00pm
All Head coaches are expected to assist with the evaluations, please arrive no later than 5:30pm. We are asking for assistant coaches to help with weights & heights and directing participants. Please check in with a BOARD MEMBER at your son's age group tent for where you can help.

Draft:

All drafts will take place at Madison Park & Recreation office - 1239 Hwy 51 @6:00pm
Only Head Coach & 1st assistant coach will be allowed to attend draft (due to space limitations) Updated draft rules & procedures are included in this packet and will be posted on the website.

PLEASE CONTACT PLAYERS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR DRAFT

Monday, August 29th 11 & 12 year olds

Head Coach will receive player ratings no later than 5:00pm Friday, August 26th

Tuesday, August 30th 9 & 10 year olds

Head Coach will receive player ratings no later than 7:00pm Sunday, August 28th

Thursday, September 1st 8 year olds

Head Coach will receive player ratings no later than 7:00pm Monday, August 29th

League Issued Equipment:

Each Head Coach is be required to leave a deposit check in the amount of $100 prior to being issued any equipment. The deposit check WILL NOT be cashed unless equipment is not returned by the last day of November, 2011. All equipment will be issued following each age groups player draft.

Practice request:

Return completed form to Madison Park & Recreation (either fax or email) No later than Thursday, September 1st. Madison Park & Recreation will contact with your assigned practice time & location. Please contact their office with any questions. (Betsey Hendricks - 601-853-9109) This season league insurance will allow teams to practice on non-league locations. If you do not need a practice location, please write such on the side of the "practice request form" and submit.

Sponsor information to Peggi:

It is the responsibility of the Head Coach to obtain a sponsor for their team. All sponsor information will need to be submitted to the league (in writing) no Tuesday, September 6th in order to assure uniforms by picture day/jamboree

Start of Practices:

Practices will start the week of September 5th - remember you are permitted to only 2 practices/ week and no longer than 90 minutes/ practice.

Game Schedule:

We hope to have game schedules available by Tuesday, September 6th. Schedules will be emailed to Head Coach and we will submit to have posted on website as soon as available.

League Rules:

Copy of league playing rules are included in this packet. All rules will be posted on our
website.

Picture Day/Jamboree:

Saturday, September 17th @ Madison Central High School Football Stadium
All teams will be required to have a team picture & individual pictures taken by the contracted league photographer (Mr. Chris Todd). Pictures will be taken 1 hour prior to your game. This will be the only "group" pictures taken this season. However, Mr. Todd will be shooting actions of at least one game of each team.

Championship Game:

Date/Time/Location of championship game has not been determined. We will notify Head Coaches as soon as we have everything in place.

General Information:

Injured Player:

Should a player be injured either in practice or game, please ask the parents to contact league at mrycfootball@yahoo.com and we will forward the necessary insurance forms. In the event of an injury requiring immediate medical care, please notify Peggi immediately.

Rain outs:

In the event of rain, games will not be canceled until 4:00pm. Once a decision to cancel a game has been made the Madison Park & Recreation office will update their weather hotline (601-853-9641).

Uniform problem:

Should a player receive the incorrect uniform size, please have the parent email the league - mrycfootball@yahoo.com Player numbers have been assigned based on weight - DO NOT switch uniforms with players! Doing so will result in a 1 game forfeit.
